Natural Solutions for Digestive Health: Relief for the Most Common Problems, by Jilian Sarno Teta, N.D., and Jeannette Bessinger, C.H.H.C.
Jillian Sarno Teta and Jeannette Bessinger have provided a valuable resource book that describes such common digestive health issues such as acid reflux (or GERD), IBS, constipation, diarrhea, gas, ulcers, celiac disease, and inflammation in general, as well as their causes, and offers natural solutions. They describe the basics of digestion and discuss how imbalances can occur, especially those due to overconsumption of sugars, dairy, and wheat, and those caused by food allergies. They also explain how antibiotics and other medications cause dysbiosis that can show up years later. The authors offer a gut restoration program that includes a 28-day meal plan with nutritional supplements.
